Swedish label COS have just launched a brand new website which will showcase their new collection and offer plenty of inspiration including a blog, styling suggestions, new arrivals, a very special 'things' feature and guides to the neighbourhoods in which COS stores are located.
COS has a very interesting approach to fashion; a perfect ethos for our times and a stunning new Autumn/Winter collection inspired by some greats: a painter, poet, architect, photographer and style icon. To celebrate the new website and collection, we spoke to Creative Director, Rebekka Bay and created a teaser video showing you just two of our favourite outfits from the new collection.
Please can you tell us a little about your role within COS and your vision for the label?
"I am creative director at COS as well as design director for COS women's wear. I joined COS, three and a half year ago as design director for women's wear, devising the creative brief for the collection, developing the colours and designing the product. I have since become creative director for COS, and am now – besides the collections – involved in the direction of our seasonal magazine, the look book's, the website, the stores and packaging amongst other things.
Our vision is to keep on creating high fashion at high street prices, but also to continue to challenge our self – and our customer – by producing an interesting and beautiful magazine, a dynamic website and a store environment that is both inspiring and inviting."
COS has a really interesting ethos which is so apparent for these times. We love how you make quality products at unexpected prices. Can you explain your reasoning behind this, please?
