British treasure Danny Dyer features in the forthcoming new issue of BLAG. Here’s a little advance preview of his piece, where he discusses his latest film 'The All Together' is a light-hearted British comedy with Martin Freeman.

 

Danny:  'The All Together'...is a nice little film. It's really gentle and it's a comedy and it's sort of like a play. We made it for no money and it's all set in one house, I play a gangster who's a pricky gangster, not a very good gangster.

 

“I end up in this geezers house and I end up taking everybody hostage, but I'm really crap at it. Martin Freeman's in it, who I've got a lot of respect for, I think he's a good actor he's got a real style of acting, you know? He delivers a line like nobody else, you know. I didn't have that many scenes with him to be honest, but it's clever the way they've done it. Because they had no money, the house that we shot in is also the production office, it was also where everyone got changed.

 

“It was also where we had our lunch. They cut every corner, just rented a gaff and shot everything in there, it was quite tough because there's eight people in the cast and a few of them are women and we're all getting changed in front of each other and everyone's up each other arses and it just sort of makes the job a bit harder, but I don't know. You never know with film, it could do really well but then again, no-one can see it you know, you never know. Gavin Claxton a first time director, he wrote it and I wish him all the best, I hope it does really well for him.”
