Now. I want to speak to you about music videos. I know you did 'Two Lovers' with Danny Dyer for The Twang and 'Blind' for Hecules and Love Affair. Can you tell us how those came about?
“Well, The Twang video came about because Justin Kerrigan was shooting it and he was the director of 'Human Traffic', so he's worked with Danny before. He had this idea for this video and approached me and I was literally like, 'Yeah. Cool.' I've worked with Danny, he's a very good friend of mine. Justin – who I think is probably one of the undermined directors of our generation – got completely involved blind. 'Human Traffic' is one of the major cult films of our generation in a way so I just jumped at the chance to work with him to be honest. He's an extremely cool guy and an extremely good talent to work with. You can't miss an opportunity to work with someone like that – you just learn so much from them, especially when you do music videos. I never really get to dip into the music world, I'm an actress so and I don't ever see myself bringing out an album! I don't think that's me at all (laughs). I just really liked the idea of it, I'm into my music in a big way and The Twang are a great little band. It just really happened like that. We shot it over two days and it was done.
“Hercules and Love Affair, I just auditioned for it. I knew the New York guy from Antony and The Johnsons had requested me, but they have to hold auditions for certain amount of reasons and then I got it. So that was pretty cool. It was pretty amazing actually. I loved it and I loved the look of the video. I love dipping into the music world like that. It's a real compliment to be approached and asked to shoot someone's music video that reflects their talent and their music. I just take that as a huge compliment. I'm really into filmmaking; they're like shooting mini-films so I just jumped at the chance really.”
