Justice don’t play too often in Paris, preferring to opt for just special events. They played their debut show in London in the summer of ‘07 and we ask Xavier to reminisce, “It was at the Mean Fiddler, it was funny because it was just after we played our first live show in Paris and so it’s still really the beginning for us as a live act. We didn’t think in Paris about the encore you know, so we stopped and it was really cool and then people were like.... ‘Aaaahhhh! Encore!’ And we are like ‘No, no, no go back home!’ And so we said ‘OK, now we have to think about the encore, but we didn’t have time to work on it between Paris and London so then we finished and it was like, ‘Aaaahhh! Cool! Encore!’ I said, ‘Yeah, we are gonna come back’ and so we did a kind of improvised encore, with the part we had in our machine. So we did our first encore, it was cool, but by accident I dropped another part so we had to start again for a second encore. So we finished, then I put my hand (motions pushing a button by mistake) and it started to load something else, so we had to go back again and finally at the end of the second encore people are like ‘Aahhhh.. OK, you go back home!’“ he laughs. “It was not a good encore, it would have been better to stop after the first one but it was definitely a funny show!”
