Helmed and designed by Brazilian born Lorenzo Martone, Martone Cycling Co. are "city bikes created with passion."
"I'd been writing letters all year long to the North Pole, but getting the bike I’d wished for so much was almost too much to believe. That bike became my best friend for a very long time. “Fina” (Portuguese for skinny) was her name and she had her own special room in my parents’ house for proper “rest”. I was obsessed with Fina, almost as if I knew making bikes would become my career 28 years later." writes Lorenzo.
Each Martone bike is 'powered by our innovative duomatic gear system, which automatically adjusts and changes gears based on the speed you’re riding.' The design promises to give riders an entirely unique experience.
Martone's bright bikes are easily identifiable as each and every one comes with a red steel chain. Frames are stainless steel alloy and ultra light rims are built with double aluminium. Weighing just 26 lbs, they boast puncture resistant tires.
Models are also available with built-in front handlebar basket that will hold up to 10 kilos of anything.
Look out for Lorenzo's pop up store coming to LA where he'll drop his new colour ways purple, turquoise, pink, yellow and green inspired by Brazil and the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio from May 15th.
