Information We Hold On You

BLAG only collects and holds information on you relevant to your customer account / membership and / or purchase, including free tickets. We require information about you in order to create a customer or member account for you and / or to be able to provide a service for you. This information processed must be: lawful, fair and transparent; for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes; adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary; accurate, kept up-to-date and stored no longer than necessary. 

Before viewing any of our website and using our services, please read the below. 

If you work with BLAG in an editorial, collaborative or publicity capacity—such as you are an official representative of a featured artist or an officially commission journalist writing about BLAG and / or our Directors—we securely and confidentially hold your data for example email, telephone numbers and / or postal addresses, which has been provided to us by you and / or official sources in order to keep you up-to-date on our work and potential work together. We do not sell or share any of this data. You are welcome to read the below if you have signed up to our mailing lists and / or make purchases.

www.BLAG.london and www.BLAGmagazine.com customers and members: we collect your contact name, email address, phone numbers and billing and / or shipping addresses in order to action and provide your purchase, securely capture your payment(s) and / or keep you informed of our service.

You can see and update your details in the ‘Update Details’ section of your Account when signed in. 

When you buy or subscribe to our service(s): we collect your contact name, email, phone numbers, your billing and shipping addresses, phone number and order details so we can process, action and deliver your orders. We require billing addresses of all customers and subscribers for tax purposes. 

We do not have access to, hold or retain your payment information. This is managed by our approved and compliant third party providers PayPal and / or Stripe (for credit and debit transactions) on our behalf. 

We retain your information listed above, with your approval for the duration of your use of our services or as long as necessary to carry out these functions.

By providing information to us for your account, membership or purchase: You confirm as the information provider (“you”) that: the data subject (“you” or if your subscription is a gift for someone else, that they) has freely, specifically and reversibly given consent to provide us with such information including legitimate payment and contact information. The processing is necessary for the following: for us to create a contract with you, to comply with legal obligation and to protect your interests and for legitimate business interests: us providing our services to you.

Under no circumstances are WordPress authorised to use your data outside of our instructions, the services they provide are all law abiding services compliant with GDPR and relevant data privacy laws.

It is vital that we securely store and process your data in order to provide our services detailed on each BLAG site. We will only process relevant data and ensure regular review so this remains accurate, for example we do not retain information for those who have unsubscribed. Your data is used to process your purchase or keep you informed of your purchase or BLAG information related emails. We may use your email address to send you service-related notices (including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication via postal mail.)

If you communicate with us via email and / or chat, we may retain the content of your email and chat messages, your email address and our responses. We will also monitor any emails and chats sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email or message you send is within the bounds of the law.

We do not share or sell information about you with any parties not associated with the functioning of the service you have bought or requested.

We use third party providers WordPress to deliver our email newsletters and provide chat services software. Please see our Cookies Policy for further details and mailing list opt-in / opt-out options.

To unsubscribe from our mailing list, either click the unsubscribe link on any of our marketing emails or log into your BLAG account and change your preferences.

We are unable to add you back to our lists, therefore should you like to, please do subscribe again at any time.

You may email us at anytime to request details of any and all data we may hold on you, we will share this with you only if you use an email address which matches our records. We will have one month to provide this information. Please contact us here with your request

If you are an account holder, member, one-off customer or have signed up for our newsletter, your information will be permanently removed from our own and third party systems at your request.

Customer Service Communication

We may contact you with any communication considered routine customer service, for example but not limited to: information regarding your account, membership or purchases, updates to policies and / or terms and conditions of service, service interruptions, delivery details, receipts and / or order confirmations. This type of communication is not considered direct marketing. Our communication will sent via email or chat, however if you bought your product and used only your phone number for communication in the past, you may receive a call or text message. 

In order to be updated about events, products and services via email, please agree to accept marketing from us. We will never call to sell you anything via telephone.

We do not build customer profiles or require any further details about you, you are free to enjoy our services under our Terms and Conditions

Security 

Log Data Disclosure: We use third party services to help maintain the security and performance of our BLAG sites. To deliver this service they automatically process information such as the IP addresses, geographical information (not specific addresses), web browsers, source, referral, email campaign, device and operating systems of visitors to all BLAG websites.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.  

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, our providers follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards. 

All of our sites use SSL. 

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. 

Other

Age: Please do not register or use our services if you are aged under 18 years old. 

Other than subscriptions, memberships or single purchase, opt-out customers data is not stored.

Print Publication Purchases: our production / fulfilment and shipping teams have confidential access to your name and address in order to and purely to be able to ship your product and document shipping and billing. They do not store any data longer than necessary. 

International transfers: Any international transfers of data are completed in compliance with relevant Data Protection Legislation. Your personal data is only transferred outside of the EU in compliance with the conditions for transfer set out in Chapter V of the GDPR. 

We do not use any spyware or any similar covert surveillance software that downloads to a user’s device and tracks your activities without your knowledge.

Breach Notification: Should a data breach occur, we will quickly assess and make a report to the Information Commissioners Office within 72 hours, if it be required. We will notify customers with recommendations if required.

BLAG uses google analytics to monitor our statistics. This information is anonymised, therefore we don’t not share your information with google. Google is compliant with GDPR.

10th May 2018, updates made to include BLAGmagazine.com paid subscription service, as well as BLAG.london and use of data of collaborators. 31st May, removal of services previously provided by MailChimp. 4th January 2019 updated with removal of Shopify, Business Catalyst Services and replaces with Wix services. Updated regarding removal of paid for subscription service on 31st January 2021.
